Based in Stafford Technology Park

Dataflexnet is small company of people based on the outskirts of Stafford at the Technology Park.

We travel to work by car, bike, or on foot.  Some live local. Others commute by car, experiencing a reasonable commute from Sandbach, Stoke, Stone, Cannock, Telford, or as far as Derby.  Between J13 and J16 on the M6 is fine, though we always check Google, just in case the back roads beckon !

Some need a little flexibility in working hours, or for the practical things in life, and where people sustain a great work ethic, Dataflexnet is flexible too, but our teams, clients, and projects must practically come first !

Small BUT Packing a Big Punch

Founded in 1996 by Reza Satongar, focused on corporate travel technology, Dataflexnet has since collaboratively forged international relationships with Mastercard, Diners Club International and Discover, with banks across Europe, Asia, to Australia, and with Travel Management Companies of all sizes including Egencia (Expedia!) and Carlson Wagonlit as examples.

Since 9/11's drastic effect on corporate travel, Dataflexnet diversified into payment processing, invented a new & unique virtual card service, and re-built our file processing services as corporate travel resurged. In 2017 we doubled our turnover and we need like minded people to help us on this journey -  see our vacancies.

Time at the Office

On a normal day, we are early to start, arriving between 8 - 9, catching up with activities with those out of our timezone.  Usually fresh coffee or tea is in order!  On rare occasions, our 24-7 on-call staff have been working an issue and may arrive later when rested.

Together we collaborate to progress work of value, through source code, configuration, documenting designs, ideas, and setting out communications, all focused on delivering value and refining our backlogs.

We work directly with our clients to the benefit of unfiltered feedback, occasionally we assist with urgent issues being managed by our 24-7 on-call support team.  Our clients often visit our office, join conference calls, or want to review progress, as they occur throughout the day, according to their timezone.

We usually call it a day between 5 - 6 but always with consideration to our fellow teammates, our clients, and project deadlines!

A Day of Sustenance

At 12.15 (pm) the sandwich van toots its horn. You can set your clock by it! It pulls up outside our office offering hot breakfast baps (cheese & meatball melt is a favourite), sandwiches, pastries, all you can imagine. Occasionally we hit the pause button on a meeting for someone in need!  We also enjoy free fresh fruit to keep us going with something more healthy.

For lunch, for those locals some pop home, some bring in a packed lunch, while those who need looking after, wish for a treat, or have busy lives, use the nearby shops.  A walk from our office, there is a Subway and Coop, near the Knot and Plough pub, offering eat-in or takeaway meals, sandwiches, cakes, etc. It is not unusual to see people doing laps of the technology park and then popping over to grab lunch.

We also bring in treats to share, for a birthday or just because. Krispy Kreme goes down particularly well.  If that is not enough, through the summer months, the ice cream van pays us a visit ...

If all sounds like a place you could imagine working at, that you have what it takes, then please drop us a note and a speculative CV.
