Dataflexnet Team Tests Their Skills at Golf Spot’s Virtual Golf Simulator
This week, members of the Dataflexnet team — Greg Thompson, Simon Riley, Michael Mazzitelli and Martyn Guest — swapped keyboards for clubs as they headed to Golf Spot, the local golf centre offering one of the region’s most advanced virtual golf simulators.

Given Dataflexnet’s deep roots in the world of virtual everything — from our market-leading virtual card products, to our virtualised cloud infrastructure, to client platforms running entirely on virtual servers — it felt only right that we added virtual golf to the list.
And in true Dataflexnet style, the team approached it with precision, competition, and a healthy dose of humour.
Trying Out a Venue for a Future Staff Event
The purpose of the visit was more than just testing their swings. The group attended to explore Golf Spot as a potential venue for a larger company-wide staff event in the near future. With its immersive simulator technology and relaxed social environment, it offered exactly the kind of setting that blends fun with friendly competition.
Early feedback from the team was extremely positive:
The simulator’s accuracy and realism impressed both seasoned and casual golfers.
The atmosphere was ideal for team bonding.
The mix of virtual play and real-world camaraderie hit the perfect balance.
A Perfect Match: Virtual Payments, Virtual Servers… and Virtual Golf
Epic Shot!
As Greg jokingly put it:
“If there’s something new happening in the virtual world, chances are Dataflexnet will be there.”
From virtual cards streamlining corporate payments, to virtual cloud environments powering our platforms, and now virtual golf helping sharpen our swings, the theme is unmistakable — we feel right at home in digital spaces.
What’s Next?
With the success of the trial run, planning is already underway to arrange a larger staff event at Golf Spot so the wider team can join in the fun. It’s another great opportunity to bring everyone together, unwind, and (most importantly) see who really has the best swing in the company.
Stay tuned for updates on the upcoming event — and perhaps even a leaderboard.
